Very appreciated to the work Fractal did a year ago on this. Kind of disappointing that no one has donated one of these yet or worked a bit harder on normalizing this version of the e2500 since it is the primary market version on sale. Went ahead and flashed off dd-wrt to the tomato mod to enable the 5gHz chain and it is working perfectly.

As said in this discussion, the latest iMac OS is not compatible with the software to setup the Linksys E2500 router. As of this correspondance, there is a manual way to setup the router, but it is rather time consuming and has a lengthy step by step process to manually activate the router.
